Visitor Welcome

12thholeBaberton Golf Club welcomes visitors of all ages, experience or capability, whether it is individual visitors or visiting societies. Our aim is to provide a first class golfing experience in a comfortable and relaxing clubhouse, with excellent catering and refreshments, so that our visitors will feel that they have had a memorable day.

The Clubhouse offers a welcoming atmosphere with freshly prepared meals, snacks and a comprehensive choice of beers, wines and spirits. Changing facilities for men and lady golfers and towels are available for showering and washing.

As well as individual golfers Baberton Golf Club welcomes visiting societies and outings. Make a day of it by arranging for refreshments on arrival, lunch, dinner or high tea in the welcome surrounding of the clubhouse and dining room.The professional shop offers an extensive range of golf equipment to purchase and hire. In addition, golf buggies are available for hire, however advanced notice is required should you wish to reserve them.

The large lounge and bar, with panoramic views across the City of Edinburgh and Fife, offers the opportunity to relax after your round to discuss that long putt and the joys of the course. Finally, if you want to make a day of it you can even play snooker in the upstairs billiard room. Just let the club manager know that you want to do this when you book your golf.

Booking Conditions

1. A non-refundable Booking Fee of £5 per person must be paid to confirm all Visiting Society bookings. Booking Fees will be credited against green fees due in respect of all visitors playing.

2. Green fees must be paid in full before play commences.

3. Visitors must have a handicap or be competent golfers able to complete a round at Baberton in no more than 3 hours 30 minutes.

4. Dress Rules: Visitors are expected to wear smart casual dress. On the golf courses sleeveless shirts, singlets, swimwear, running shorts, etc are strictly forbidden. Shirts may not be removed. Demin jeans are not permitted on the course. No bag sharing is allowed.

5. R&A Rules of Golf plus published local rules to be observed.

6. No other games than golf. No dogs. No alcohol on the course.

7. Liability: Visitors, their vehicles and equipment are on Club property at their own risk. The Club has no liability. The Club has the right to refuse entry or to require a visitor to leave at its absolute discretion.

For many years Baberton has welcomed visiting societies, clubs and individuals wishing to play golf. The Club has a range of packages to suit all visitors, from individuals just wishing to play golf, to societies wishing to cater for large groups of players. The Club also has excellent catering facilities to make your day out at Baberton memorable not only for the golf but also hospitality.

Individual Golfers

For individual golfers (up to 6 players) the Club offers competitive prices for a single round of golf or day tickets. These can be purchased through the professional shop and are restricted to specific times of the week. (Telephone: 0131 453 3555)
